PHILOSOPHY

Our school offers a warm safe haven for a child to develop and discover his or her own possibilities. The Montessori method provides the child with an independent learning experience. This is achieved through the use of didactic materials, many of which have a built-in control of error, allowing the child to check his or her own progress. Children learn this philosophy by experiencing and manipulating their physical environment, as well as through varied social experiences. Children are social beings and need opportunities to develop social competence, problem solving skills, a critical consciousness, autonomy, self-regulation and a sense of purpose. They need experiences that encourage them to make choices, interact with one another, negotiate, listen to other’s perspectives as well as express their own thoughts and feelings. Through these experiences children develop, test and refine appropriate strategies of interaction with peers and adults.

LANGUAGE IMMERSION

Our classrooms offer a fully immersive environment in Spanish language, exposing the child to the language entirely and continually. This learning incorporates Math, Reading, Writing, Vocabulary, Science, Geography and Art in your language choice, through the Montessori Method. The goal is to provide your child with a solid foundation in the language and provide them with a bilingual experience.

ACTIVITIES

Extracurricular activities are a vital part of our program. We offer gymnastics, yoga, keyboard lessons, music appreciation, soccer, tennis, and dance. Enrolling your child into these opportunities encourages them to develop confidence, concentration, discipline, appreciation of the arts and gross motor skills. We work with several companies who come to our school and offer guided classes by trained professionals.
