IMS is a wonderful, diverse community of teachers and families of many cultures, languages, and backgrounds who have come together as a supportive and engaged learning community. Many of our families speak English at home yet value the benefits that fluency in another language and understanding of another culture can offer. Others have family or professional connections to other countries and seek a place where these kinds of connections are honored. The best way to get to know us is to schedule a visit where you can experience language immersion in action and see the effects of our developmental approach to education. You will see children of all ages demonstrating independence and working together as a community, from our toddlers who are learning to be with others their age to children from 3 to 12 years old responding naturally to their teachers who are speaking in French, Spanish, or Mandarin about all kinds of subjects and topics.  You will find comfortable classrooms where children are engaged in what they are learning.
